Dedman College is accepting the following applications for tenured track positions to begin Fall 2026:

Psychology.  (Position No. 52830) Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Psychological Clinical Science (Position No. 52830) to begin in August 2026. The Department of Psychology is seeking candidates with a program of research in a substantive area of Psychological Clinical Science including, but not limited to measurement, classification, etiology, mechanisms, prevention, and/or treatment of psychopathology (broadly defined). Applicants who use methodologies and/or data analytic approaches that can leverage the resources of the O’Donell Data Science and Research Computing Institute, such as computational modeling and machine learning applications; intensive mobile data collection and data sensing (e.g., geolocation, smartphone usage); use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for assessment or interventions; and/or high-speed computing for analysis of large datasets, are encouraged to apply. Applicants with a Ph.D. in any area of psychology will be considered; however, preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. A Ph.D. is required at the time of the appointment. Successful candidates must be able to contribute meaningfully to our doctoral program in clinical science, which is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and accredited by the American Psychological Association. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a rigorous and highly productive research program that has the potential to generate external funding. Candidates also must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Sociology. Position No. 6330. The Department of Sociology at Ë®¶à¶àµ¼º½ invites applications for an assistant professor with specializations in economic, urban, global or transnational sociology, to begin August 1, 2026. The teaching load is typically 2 courses per semester. The Department of Sociology serves around 120 Sociology and Markets and Culture majors and minors. Markets and Culture is an interdisciplinary economic sociology degree housed in Sociology. Our department is collegial with a strong history of working with McNair Scholars and offering courses that support other majors including African/African-American Studies, Mexican-American Studies, Health & Society, Human Rights and the Women’s and Gender Studies and Law and Legal Reasoning minors. Our faculty contribute to the Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute’s research symposia and take advantage of the opportunities to live on campus in the residential commons as a Faculty-In-Residence and teach during the summer and inter-terms at our sister campus in the mountains of Taos, NM. Minimum Requirements: PhD. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to contribute courses toward the Markets and Culture major; Experience teaching undergraduates preferred.
