Hon. Daniel H. Weiss is Senior Counsel with Roy Petty & Associates in Dallas, where he focuses on complex immigration matters. He previously served as Principal Deputy Chief Immigration Judge, overseeing the nation’s 74 immigration courts. Earlier, he was Assistant Chief Immigration Judge for the Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, and Arlington Immigration Courts and was first appointed to the bench in 2016 by Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Prior to his judicial service, Judge Weiss served as Deputy Chief and later Senior Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, overseeing institutional reform of police agencies and correctional facilities and prosecuting human trafficking and civil rights cases across the country.
