Ken Harward

Owner & Programmer, TrueThought LLC
Biography
Ken develops video games, a passion he's had since he was very young. Ken has done a wide variety of programming work in his career, most of it in C++ with plenty of dabs into other languages as needed. He has managed programmers at Convex Computer Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Gnubi, Motorsims, and Ritual Entertainment. He has also been the Studio Director at Ritual Entertainment and MumboJumbo. Ken enjoys both programming and management.
"Running teams, including artists, designers, and programmers, is every bit the challenge of any great software development project," he says.
Ken has worked on Unix supercomputers at Convex and Hewlett-Packard; embedded real-time systems at Gnubi, and PCs, PlayStations, and XBoxes at Motorsims, Ritual, and MumboJumbo; worked in AAA games for a wide-variety of publishers including EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and Vivendi Universal; and worked on casual games at MumboJumbo. Outside of the game industry, he has worked in the fields of scientific computing, telecom, and information technology.
He has also written game engine systems, operating systems, SGML browsers, editors, client-server architectures, online matchmaking systems, networking platforms, and tools of all sorts and sizes, both in and out of the game industry.
