About this game


Maglev is an Unreal Development Kit / Unreal Editor 3 production, where players assume the role of Tobot, a recycle bot who utilizes his magnetic abilities to navigate through a massive starship to save his beloved toaster from the clutches of the villainous Che Robera. But it won’t be easy--Che has taken over the ship and populated it with a small army of lethal spike bots and a bevy of tesla coil traps. Tobot must use his wits and magnetic self-polarity to outthink Che and save the day.

The core gameplay mechanic in Maglev involves the player using Tobot’s magnetic field, which he can toggle between red and blue polarities, to navigate through the environment. Tobot can use this field to execute many different kinds of operations including attracting and repelling spike bots, levitating to startling heights by repelling off of magnetic surfaces, and zooming through fast-speed magnetic volumes.

Team Power On consists of 14 game developers including three artists, eight level designers, and three software programmers. The team completed Maglev in four months, focusing on a comedic narrative experience, sleek sci-fi visuals, and compelling magnet-based platforming.

In the future of Colossal Takeover, companies settle their disputes by going to war, and players align themselves with either Saunders Corp or Guava Inc., the most influential companies of 2029, and go to town on each other in a massive metropolis.
Colossal Takeover is a 3rd-person, team-based shooter featuring a fantastic arsenal ranging from rocket launchers to poison-gas-emitting cupcakes. A typical game consists of two teams fighting each other for control of the city—and victory comes to the team that destroys the other team’s headquarters. To that end, each team comes equipped with a massive robotic companion armed with an equally massive beam weapon—perfect for destroying buildings to clear a path, or the opposing force’s base.

Devour is a color-matching two-dimensional sidescrolling action game built with the Torque 2d game engine. In the game, the main character, Mel, is very hungry. So hungry in fact, that she has to eat constantly. You must guide Mel through environments littered with brutes and strays while avoiding damage and eating as many enemies as possible. If you run into a brute, Mel takes damage and is slowed down, making her even more hungry. If you hold down the correctly colored button, Mel devours the monster and keeps on running. This game was awarded Best Enemies at the Guildhall Show of Games.

Mayatron 2012 is a quirky, addictive 2D top-down shooter. It was developed in eight weeks with the Torque2D game engine. Mayatron 2012 combines the quick and accessible gameplay of classic arcade games with an element of hub-style exploration. It takes place in a distinctive, visually attractive world combining ancient Mayan themes and advanced technology. Players explore an ancient city in the middle of the jungle, full of temples built with alien technology. The player must pass through a series of these temples and overcome hordes of enemies and obstacles. Mayatron 2012 was awarded Best Overall Game at the Guildhall Show of Games.
