Lucid Dreams is a single player puzzle platformer for PC, developed in Unreal Development Kit. A team of 12 developers developed the game over the course of 6 months. While roaming through a dream-like environment, the player must collect glowing Z’s to unlock new levels. Gameplay involves collecting pick-ups in a surreal environment by walking on walls. We chose this project in an effort to come together as a team and create a game that players would enjoy and find challenging.

The team overcame a drastic redesign of the game 8 weeks before release to create a more focused gameplay experience. We focused on proven technology and gameplay to create a more engaging gamer experience. We also focused on a more surrealistic visual experience, which can be seen in the themes of the levels (ie Proto-Dream, One Night at the Fish Bowl, Men in Plaque, and Fly Me to the Moon). We learned to value communication and collaboration as a team. Without these two things, the team could not have been successful. Through sharing the experience of overcoming adversity, the team felt more confident as developers for the future.

A famous developer just announced the postponement of a highly anticipated game at a gaming convention. This infuriated hordes of nerds to the point of storming the developer’s booth. You play as Marla, a bodyguard. She is armed with a beanbag gun and must protect the convention from the waves of raging nerds.

ShadowMaster is a 2D top-down spatial puzzle game with a twist. The player controls a necromancer, named Gary, and Gary's shadow simultaneously. The player has the ability to project his shadow away and call his shadow back to him. This mechanic becomes the basis of solving several increasingly difficult spatial puzzles.

The Day Ice Cream Stood Still is a 2D platforming puzzle game that was designed using the TorqueX 2D editor by a five-student team from The Guildhall at 水多多导航. The game took ten weeks, using 60-hour man weeks from concept to completion and was developed for the PC using a console controller.
